Does anyone own one of these chargers? I was charging my hump pack and now the charger won't even power on it just gets really hot. I sent MRC an e-mail requesting help but they have not responded to me. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is it common and how do I fix it?

This happened to my 959 the first few times I used it. I just let it cool down and it was okay to use again. If you are charging more than 2 batts in a row make sure there is adequate air circulation around the charger or just use an electric fan (the one you use on yourself in summer) to cool it while charging.

That article mentioned above looks like a lot of work (for me ) for such an inexpensive not to mention ugly charger.

If you are unable to fix the 959 I suggest you look at the MRC 977, with a built in fan and DC power supply included.
