More fun competition

Here I am, back from the Competition Is Fun Right?/new Layout Mods. thread

I didn't have fun reading some of the posts in the forum.

well I agree with the others, I think that in the absence of facts all opinions are valid.

I can say only one thing. I enjoy constructive comments/criticism. However IF they are meant to agitate, then some opinions are best kept silent.

I invite you all to come out and have fun. And you’re all welcome to SPEND YOUR TWO CENTS on ice cream and drinks at Sid’s Raceway.

Thumbs up Sid's

I have to agree that Sid's is a great place to have fun, but you can still be competitive as well.

I wouldn't say that it is the best raceway ever, but it definetly is the best electric track that is available now.

I drive over an hour each way to go there and play.
I haven't made out many races, but was there on Sunday practicing and had a blast. Have to learn to slow down for corners.

The cool thing about the track is that with there being an 1/18th scale as well as the 1/10th scale track, anybody can come and run. I may be running an expensive 4wd buggy, but I am only using 3300 cells and a 19 turn motor, and it flys.

If you are a beginner you can get away with a cheap 18th scale vehicle, or even be competitive with the cheaper tamiya's or the traxxas trucks.

Anyways I would like to congratulate Sid, Sean, Steve and everybody else that has made Sid's what it is today, and what it will be.

Just saw the video from Monday's race, and nice to see the big hunk of carpet is gone from one of the corners. (not that I was complaining when it was there, but it sure made it tough to do that corner)
