Due to the fact I live in an area where there is nobody else into rc(that I know of),sites like this are a great way for me to share my interests and get some awsome deals,so sometimes dealing locally doesnt work for everyone.

I hope he did a cross boarder scam because then it becomes a federal offence. That results in a longer stay in jail with the possibility of extradition to the US for a second new home and knowing US laws it'll be a much longer one!Where do these geniuses come from anyway?

To catch a Thief

You can only track a person by IP if they use the same connection every time with a static ip. Most providers Bell / Sympatico etc give you a dynamic ip meaning it is yours for as long as you are connected. If he turns off his cable modem or dsl modem for a few minutes his ip will change. Static ip's cost more and are usually only available with higher end business packages. So in a nutshell if he is online and sends a few posts or emails without his ip changing you may get him. But if his ip changes you won't be able to tell if it is really him. If you could some how capture his MAC address that never changes as it is unique to every NIC card or Ethernet port you might prove it’s him. This is only if he doesn't change the computer he logs on with or know about MAC spoofing or dynamic ip properties. Otherwise unless there is someone out there who knows this Clown or you can track payment via paypal, or shipping address etc you may never catch him. Have your sellers invoice you through paypal so you have a record of what you are paying for and to whom. Never ship without payment first COD is ok but don’t you get charged back for the shipping if the intended receiver doesn’t pay? Well I hope the PRICK gets caught soon because he is destroying RC Buy & Sell.

i didn't think this thread would stay alive, i just wanted to let you guys know to be careful to protect what we all work so hard for. it would be a real shame to get scammed out of a large amount of money from lowlifes who prey on others.

i'm glad that this thread has brought awareness to our close knit community.
