New Tamtech at Sids?

Are these new Tamiya Tamtech buggies, mini hornet, fox 1/18 scale? If so would they race with the other 1/18's at Sids.

I'm really into the mini fox as it was my first rc, but I would of course have to race it.

I may be wrong but I think they are closer to a 1/16th scale. Right now I've guys running the following for 1/18:

RC18T or MT or B
Elcon Cleon w/air brakes

no no no dont worry u can race them , i have been racing my mini inferno st and as long as its mini u can race with us . if u like them then get 1 and bring it out . but i dont know how competitive it will b compaired to the other stuff being run there . most everyone runs 4wd

buyer beware

these are the best rental buggies however the tamtech 2wd aren't competitive.

that's the take from up here.
