Dye for rims and wing ??

I'm looking for a good type of dye that will work on rims and wings - specifically black dye.
Anyone have a good line on such a product? where to get it? How much? how to best use it?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

RIT DYE at Fabricland. There is one along Yonge, East side, North of Doncaster in the strip plaza.

Follow the dye instructions and keep stirring. I kept my parts in it for the rest of the day after boiling for an hour. Not all pastics take in the dye good. Really is better to just buy black parts.

LST wing is cheap in price and comes black.

nylon is mostly what you want to dye... (just about any RPM part in natural colour will work really well - check their site for suggestions on dying their parts).

ABS, ACETAL, and Polycarbonates don't really dye all that well due to grain structure.

RIT is available at Shopper's drug mart...

I go to the local dollar store. a buck a box. ritt is one brand, and another is called tintex. 2 boxes does a truggy set of rims (one box seems a bit thin once you get enough water in to submerge them all...

a couple tricks is to boil the water of course, but I like to toss an old rag towel in the bottom to keep the heat on without melting the rims to the bottom of the pot, and the longer you leave it, the deeper the color. black I tend to keep the heat on then just leave in the pot overnight to cool so the color goes deep. rinse it off with cold water.
