well, i ran my savage SS today with halleyboy, and we both had problems. He broke a knuckle, and engine was out of tune, and what ever else happened to him. My problems were the biggest. my engine ran like crap (way worse then his). then it wouldnt kick for about 10 minutes of trying to start it. BUT THEN ! we gave up and went and climbed a baseball field fence. when we came back (i ripped my jeans too , and stapped my leg in the process) i noticed a smell coming from my Savage. it smelt like my old Airtronics ES-01 ESC when it burnt. so i opened the radio box and disconnected the battery as fast as i could. ANDDDDD.... rx was warm-hot, and steering servo was HOT ! and melted, forming a plastic case bubble out the side. so i took it appart and the elecs are completely smoked...
I have used all these components together for about 6 months or so (since i bought the radio off of Savage-Star, so check my posts)

damage report:
-HPI RF-4 rx = good
-SMC 1400 hump pack battery = good
-Hobbico Commando CS-67 throttle servo = good
-Hitec HS-5645MG steering servo = cooked. 0% chance of working again

SO, my Q is: is this covered by Hitec's warrenty ? should i send it back ?

i can get pics soon. i know ppl want to see it and say "its a good thing im not this guy"

thanks !!!

ps, i will start a charity box so ppl can donate to the "Buy A Kid A Servo Fund" lol.
