Question about racing

I am new to off road racing. I was wondering about the different classes at Kings rc park . I was looking at a team losi muggy. I was wondering what class is a muggy or do they even have one. Also what engines are acceptable? Is there any other race rules a newbie should know before purchasing a vehicle.

Also if anyone has feedback on the losi muggy it would be greatly appreciated.

A Losi Muggy would go in the Truggy class because it has a centre diff and no tranny, and any engine up to a .28 size is allowed to race. As for race rules the only other big thing is that you have to have a throttle return device and a failsafe to ensure your truck can't run away at a race (meaning you need a good throttle servo that can move freely when off power)

As for the Muggy, it's a cool truck, but if you want to get really into racing then the Muggy won't quite keep up with the other truggies as well as most others sinse it's made to be a cross between a monster truck and a truggy.

Well answered PB+J!

I have a Muggy on order that should be here next week and I will give you some input on it when I get it. For racing I do believe the Truggy will work better. I bought the Muggy for bashing and running on my track when it freezes it up.
