What is recomended to clean my savage x from caked on dirt, any kind of spray recommendation?

i strip mine down, and clean by hand with a toothbrush, a bit of clothes detergent (ya thats right) and water. it works GOOD, but you have to rinse it GOOD too, or your parts will be slimy (try it with your hands first and you will see how its done)

snow also works somewhat. i was waiting to clean mine with snow, but it looks like we arent getting any this winter . oh well, longer onroad season it is...
