Spektrum/High Speed Digital Servo

I'm looking to upgrade my steering by adding a high speed digital servo.
I'm currently running a Spektrum DX3 (not 3.0) system.
Given some of the discussion I've read regarding "latency" with respect to the Spektrum, would I be able to exploit the full performance a real fast (say < 0.10 msec/60 deg @ 4.8V) servo?
Put another way, what would be the fastest servo for use with the DX3be before I'm wasting $$$$?
Looking for opinions here....
Also I see cautions about using NiMH packs with digital servos due to the servos higher power consumption. Any comments on this as well?
Just as an FYI running 2WD electric Stadium truck.

I just bought a Spektrum DX2 and hooked up the Futaba S9451 servo. Its rated at 0.13 seconds at 4.8volts and 0.10 at 6.0 volts.I havent tried it on the track yet.I can say that the steering responce is very quick though, should take a bit to get used to.My RC10T3 has a 0.15 second servo and the B4 steering is much quicker.
