I don't know if this is true under most circumstances.... but I've found things are different when the servos are under load.
Most strong analog servos Draw about 1-1.5A under full load, The digital ones I am running such as the Hitec TG series, have been known to easily pull 2A under heavy loads.
Having one in a Big-block monster truck running 40-series tires, I think it's got a fair bit of weight to keep itself busy.

Either way, rather he has a bad cell, a bad pack, or is just drawing too much current, I think canadiannascar's solution will fix, or at least help the problem..

ofna is one of a couple of that make 1600mah pre made packs the biggest so far, i use 1400 and 1600 in may trucks
