Ok , see if you guys can help me. We are in the market for a new home and i need ideas to help me set it all up so my wife lets me build a nitro track in the back yard. Got any ideas how i start this one? If i get the track I will need some one to race with so get on it.

build it right at the back of the property, and then put a nice fence with the drivers stand built into it up so you can't see the track from the back of the house, and then buy her a hot tub, or some nice diamond ear rings, lol,

Exactly, but how big is the property that your looking at. You could always show her the plans for a track and show her the big jump. At that point you make a subtle suggestion to her that there is enough room to hide a body in it! But seriously, if the property is big enough that you could have it far enough back and fenced in then it could work. May just have to give her something that she really wants like her choice of wall colours, a new dinning set, etc.

Same thing

I'll be moving next year to Fredericton N.B. I've already convinced my wife to let me build a track in the yard (thats if we get a big yard of course) on the premise that I will be home a lot more. As well, in my case where I have two young boys, it will make it easier to get them into it...

I've always found that if it includes the kids, she's all for it..

Tell her you're building her a large flower garden with a koy pond. When it becomes evident it actually looks like a race track, sob uncontrolably and tell her how you feel like less of a man around the house cause nothing you ever try to build turns out the way it plans.

When she's feeling sorry for your lack of building skills invite the boys over and say "might as well make the best of the situation"

PS (I forgot step one------build doghouse)

Man the title of this thread alone had me laughing!!

Promise to landscape around it a bit so it doesn't end up looking so bad. Maybe hide it behind a berm of dirt which could also serve as your driver's stand. Also promise to maintain it immaculately so it blends in....
