spektrum radios can use channels of a frequency for example 27Mhz might have 10-12 different channels with just enough difference to not have interference new you're looking pretty costly though like $300+

spekturm is designed in way that if there were 20 guys racing on the the FM frequency there crystals must be different or they be racing each others cars not there own. spektrum uses the 2.4 GHZ range (same like the phones) but when its turned on it automatically finds an open channel and locks on to it and if there is someone else who turns on one it will scan and find the next available channel and lock on to it. Once you turn off your radio that channel is now available.

the controllers and recivers are expencive but there great.

basics of what it does

if you want more info on it check out the link it covers it all

There used to be a problem with interference at indoor carpet
events, but i think they fixed the problem. As far as channel switching, i think its up to 80 channels that the system searches.
Also, i bought a DX2 last summer for $230 taxes included from my LHS.
Glad to be back!!!!
