You run 3 mains instead of 1

Your best combined finishes and time is what places you.
If you win 2 of the 3 mains, you are the overall winner. If you happen to win the first 2 mains of the 3. You get to sit out the third one and watch everyone else fights for the table scraps

Triple A Main:

Triple A-Main results will be decided by a point system based on 10 points for the winner of each separate Main (of which there are three instead of the usual one) on down to 1 point for the tenth placed finisher in each separate Main.

The best two out of three Mains will count with the first tiebreaker being the finishing position of the third best (remaining) Main.

In the event of a need for a second tiebreaker, the total of laps and time of each driver’s best two out of three Mains will be used.

For folding tables...

Canadian Tire usually has sales on a folding 6' table for $40.

I bought a picknic style folding table from Loblaws (yes Loblaws) for $30. It folds flat, fits in your trunk. Seats 4, but seats are small, so 2 people with cars is a better fit.

I happened to be in Wal-Mart today and they have card tables for $24.

I don't think they would be good for the long haul though.
