I decided to try out the STS D21B plus the STS pipe. Thanks for the information. I'll report back after I know more. I can't wait to get a buggy going again. I think the last time I ran one was at the first or second Sprucewood race and that buggy wasn't even mine. Anyone know if the results from the old races are still available somewhere? Would be cool to remember where I placed. Cheers.

I would recommend a Novarossi N21B 2001 BF 3 Port Off-Road Buggy Engine (Standard Plug) N21B2001BF.

This is the Novarossi N21B 2001 BF 3 Port Standard Plug off road buggy engine and comes with a two needle aluminum slide carb, SG crank, large cooling head and uses a standard glow plug. This is an incredibly powerful short stroke 3 port buggy motor. Although this engine is intended for the sport racer or someone who wants a reliable Novarossi motor without paying for the expense of a high end race engine, it produces as much power on both the low end and high end to rival engines costing $300 or more! If you are a Novarossi engine fan, you will not be dissappointed with this new mill.

This engine works best with the Novarossi 9886, OFNA 086 or Power Racing 086 tuned pipes and a Novarossi #6 standard plug. The Mugen Seiki MSR-1005 pipe is also an excellent pipe for this engine.

It sells for $179US.

Displacement: 3.48
Maximum power: 2.00 hp
R.P.M. (M.P.): 28,000 rpm
Practical Range: 6,000 - 32,800 rpm
Bore: 16.42 mm
Stroke: 16.42 mm
Ports: 3
Piston type: Die-cast
Crankshaft: 13mm
Crankshaft Type: SG
Glow Plug Type: Standard
Exhaust Type: Rear
Carburetor: 8mm
Type: Slide
Material: Aluminium alloy
Adjustement: Single

Looks like this.

^^^^ that Nova's a great engine! Same with Werks Teamline B3. About the same price and performance. The Dynamite/Sportwerks .21 is a pretty decent engine too. Or the LRP .21 if you can find one. The SH buggy engine are supposed to rip as well. Same with the GO Tech engines. My all-round choice would be the Axe Rossi Mamba though. Looks like it has the LSK piston and sleeve with a new block design which does away with the LSK's steep exhaust port angle that made it a hassle to fit headers on it. And it's an Axe Rossi!! All around $200 USD or less.
