Axial .28

Hey guys, anyone here have hands on experience with a axial .28???

The question is does your motor run rich?? My motor runs a little rich no matter how I adjust the needles, its mainly rich at idle and if left idling it will leave a puddle of oil.

All of my other engines have never had this problem. Just looking for other's experience with Axial engines.

Thanks

I actually have one in my truggy and i find that it is sometimes a little touchy to tune and when it seems its running really well until it heats up its real boggy on the botom end and does not have a lot of snap but after a couple of straight high speed 50 foot runs it produces awesome snap

Did you ajust your midrange needle at all?

I did, adjust the midrange. It should be flush from factory setting. If I turn in the midrange needle it's still rich. How much did you turn yours in??

idle speed needle? and is you low speed leaned out all the way? wut fuel are you using, and are you using after run? some fuels with high oil content plus using after run oil causes wut you call "puddles of oil". just make sure that if you do have a high oil content, dont use after run, and check your fuels label to see whether or not they suggest using after run or not.

Good Luck Getting This Sorted Out,
Trevor

I've never ran an axial engine before, but try turning down your idle with the idle screw, then if it dies, lean out the low speed needle until it keeps running. Leaning the bottom end should get rid of the puddle of oil, then turning down the idle screw will keep the engine from idling too high...just a thought
