I definatly didn't have as much problems with my OS 30's as you did, I had a std version, and an EB mod one, and the only problem I had with them was on the EB mod one, my idle screw would back out in the run and make it run like crap if it would run at all, but I never had any tuning problems with it, heck I TQ'ed the truggy class at the sprucewood race last year with the EB mod one,

I've also got a STS 28, and I liked it, the bearings they come with are garbage, but that is an easy fix to replace them after break in, this is what I'll be running in my truggy for club races,
