At the track on Saturday

Hello all ... was out for some practice on Saturday, great run and met a few of you ... If you remember mine was the son who got hit by the buggy, trust me he is fine, but the buggy I am not so sure about

Anyway, I am finding that the truck is pretty loose, and I am not getting the front bite I would have hoped ... any one driving a stadium truck have suggetions on Shocks stiffness and oil? Drving an Evader ST so I can only do so much to tighten up and it is 2WD so rear push is going to happen ...

Any thoughts?

Hiya, Glad he's fine, tough little guy!

I've been running a T3 for a while at Sids, however did not have it yesterday. I've been pretty happy with 30w oil all across all 4. I run the battery a little bit forward to give some more steering. It's a very simple setup really. I know you are running that 7700 motor so you are aware of the powerhouse you have there and makes it harder to control. Do you have the drag brake at 20% that can improve the start of the turn greatly.

Maybe post what you have now and maybe others can offer some suggestions..

Thanks ... I switched out the oil in the shocks, was 20 and went to 25 all the way around ... hard spring in back and softer in front ... have the battery as far forward as possible ... think that the shock oil was the problem as it was pretty black when I cleaned it ... also adjusted the drag brake to 40% on the Mamba, love the 7700 but have it way, way dialled down ...

I posted some pics on my blog in case anyone is interested (from saturday).

I was only able to stay for a few hours but it was a blast.

And I can attest that everyone's advice is very useful.

Everyone really helped me out and provided a lot of great perspective.

Also, I'm slowly changing my mind about the value of brushless and LiPo. I'm still not sold on the pricing aspect, but man those things were punchy, responsive and Fast.

Samboneecanada's 4wd was DIALED also. That car is slick and sick.

And whoever that was who owned the blue 4wd Kyosho (?)... sick car. I can't wait to see a real 4wd race go down.
