I had some flaws in my drop start gate however you guys jumped ship before I could perfect it.

What I wanted to do this year was angle it so the TQ gets an advantage, have a longer straight into a wider corner and have it all electric so that the guy running the computer could operate the gate. I was also going to raise it much like pit lane!

I just got tired of everyone complaining so I dropped the idea or did I!

the only thing i found wrong with it was that our wheels were on the ground, and thats what caused me to DNF my main because of a burnt out clutch (i know maybe i over revved it....bunt dont we all get trigger happy when we are about to start a main?). other then that it would have worked awesome!..

The electric drop gate sounds great Mac, except for when they malfunction. As happened to me at a race with an electric gate. The whole field was gone in the main and there I and one other guy sat. No restart, just tough beans from the host track. Each gate position was controlled by an individual solenoid, and mine and the other guys failed.

Well not to dwell on this subject but, after seeing and taking part of the race this weekend I most definetly like the drop start. It sure seemed pretty hassel free and ran smooooth.

It did work OK, spacing them out more than three feet helped. An air-horn would be better I had a hard time hearing anything at the end of the pack. A great weekend of racing !
