Question BJ4 owners please read

On the weekend I cracked my front shock tower in 2 places, and had to replace it, as it was almost completly broken.

So my question is, are any of you guys running dual front shock towers to compensate for the carbon fibre weakness?

I broke it when I took a tumble off of some of the big jumps and landed on the front end really hard, or it could have possibly been when I ran it into a tree head on, but not sure when. haha

Another question is, I am looking to replace the undercover plastic tray on my old non Worlds Edition BJ4, does anybody have a brand new one they want to sell me, or know of somebody who locally might have one in stock (other than Zoom Room) as he is out right now.

O, just to let people know, a fully charged 4800 pack with a mamba max system and a 5700 motor will only run about 14 and a half minutes max, as my battery died during the main on Sunday before the race was over. On the plus side, the 6 volt cutoff on the mamba max speed controller works flawlessly. Shut her right down on me.

Still finished 3rd in the A main at peterborough on my first day of ever running the car. The car is a rocket.

I never ran dual towers as I hated the look of it. I only ever broke one (after a Truggy hit me full speed head on). I went through a lot of arms though.

I don't double up my front shock tower.
It's strong enough (for regular use!).

I did notice that during the first 2 weeks of running the car I broke a few parts while I was getting used to it. Now it's not a problem.

IMO, buy a spare shock tower and keep it in your parts box.
P.S. Get some front A-Arms too, there is not much kickup on the front end design of 4wd cars.

I don't double up the front but I have read of it being done.

Like Steve, I broke some parts in the beginning, mostly front arms, but since then it has been all good. I have built up an inventory of spares but I have not had to use them ........... yet (knock on wood).

Congratulations and I hope you enjoy the buggy.

(Did you hear that ........................... I think it was my BJ4 breaking, LOL)
