I need some help with my rustler XL 5 I know its not really a high end race truck, but i just like it to handle better. I don't know if its suspension or a wieght problem but when im jumping it seems to nose dive alot. the only changes from stock that i have made is im running the 3 hole pistons in the shocks and 45 w oil in rear and 30 w in the front. It handles the rough stuff all right but big jumps it sucks.

Try a softer oil in the rear, Try 30 wt.
If the oil is too heavy it causes the rear to kick up coming off the lip of the jump.
Or you could try a bit heavier oil in the front. It will stop the front from compressing too much as it hits the face of the ramp.

There really isn't a one answer fix. You need to try different oils and settings to get any vehicle to handle things the way you would like.

Also, do you let off the throttle while the truck is in the air. If you let off the throttle too much, It will also cause the nose to drop.
