HaHa Evo, don't be a chicken. Unless you try to charge at some obscenly high current, you won't get the batteries anywhere near hot enough to melt anything in your Tx. The jack in the Tx actually isolates the battery from the radio electronics during charging. My charger won't even start if the battery is hooked up backwards. In a year of charging this way I have not had any problems whatsoever.

that was my concern, I'd hate a voltage spike or something to ruin my spektrum. If it is seperated properly then I wouldnt worry, but not knowing how the radio is constructed I get that 'safer' feeling if the pack is outside of the radio while charging
