Drove the new track today for about 5 hrs or so with my T4...

My impressions are that the track is more Medium speed all over vs the slow-fast of the last layout. And there are many more jumps and bumps and obstacles to manuever over.

My truck was set-up for slow speed low ride height and small jumps and it wasnt handling the new triple at all. The rest of the lap was OK but never really that great. The one short straight before the old chicane has a large mound right in the center and that caused my setup to bottom out hard...I will need to rethink what I'm running as the 20W oil and #1pistons Rear #2 Front and green springs, lowered spindles etc SUCKED * today...

I cant really say that passing will be much easier as every straight has some kind of obstacle on it except the back old straight (that now is about 1/2 the size it was). There's the large triple, the small old triple, that large bump that you are faced with etc. I think there is a racing line that works and the rest of the track will be loose and rough and slow Or maybe i was just handling so poor today that I really didnt feel like i could attack any part of the track

All in all it looks like it will be a challenge for everyone to make clean laps and with the new bumps and jumps will get everyone re-tuning for this new layout...

Great job on the new track!!!

I really want to try this new faster layout.

I feel your pain....
I have not been out for weeks, and will not make it out for some time to come. I have even missed most of the Newmarket days, and I live in Newmarket
Between work ( which I will be in Sudbury on the 19th ) F F F
and packing to move in a few weeks, the cars are sitting there with a layer of dust. And it's not track dirt

We have not finished fully with the layout. We will clear up some of those issues, we just ran out of time on the first day. I will be heading down there today to run my new Lazer and work on the track. Once it is fully finished, I think it will be sweet! I usually am there every few days fixing the track, but I just had a baby and have had to put diaper time in....haha

No wonder the Kyosho's are so fast. They have a custom track to run on. It's like racing a slot car. LOL!
