the tech guy said its got metal to metal glue holding it together...and they dont sell new ones...seems kinda retarded to be honest...i thought i heard of someone taking a mamba apart to clean and oil it???? Maybe the tech guy is full of it?

I can't give out all my TOP SECRET tricks but if you put grease on the tap before threading the hole the chips will stick to the tap and come out when the tap is removed. Works the same way with the drill.
If you think you're in control, you're not going fast enough.:GRIN:

Sorry to hear about the bad luck Superfly .I enjoyed watching your first few runs at sids with the mamba.Then reading your impressions of it the next day (http://www.offroadrc.ca/showthread.php?t=19727 )... To bad they don't come helicoiled to begin with, then it would be just a matter of installing a new helicoil. Good luck on the repair keep us posted on the results of your fix...
