Cross compatibility

Hey guys. since I had no luck with my last post I'll ask a simular but different question Are the major companies compatible with each other. The reason I'm wondering is because this is my first truck and not sure what parts will fit what. I know A-arms and suspension parts are probally proprioritory for each company but would something like clutch bells be compatible. My truck is a Maximum MT pro but I pulled the HPI engine and used an associated instead. I re-drilled the stock HPI flywheel to fit the Associated. Would a stock Associated clutch bell mesh properly with the MT spur gear?
Thanx in advance.

I would think so. I mean, I did purchase an Ofna 18 tooth clutch bell for my engine to try it out and it worked. I've swapped rear diff gears on my friends mantis with hpi savage gears and they worked. So, I would say yes, but very limited parts. It's always best to check with your lhs to see what they think. Hope that helps any.

I seem to remember that Associated uses 3/16" bearings in the clutch while HPI and most others use 5mm...although that's really close in actual size..I don't think they'd fit each other.
