Bugs, you might also want to consider a 4600 mamba. Theres tons of power in that motor, and youll have alot more control of your car!

Jays right I have a 4600 and in my truck i cant really ever hold full throttle and thats with 17/87 gearing. I'm going to try 16/87 next time...oh yeah and thats with the timing turned down to the lowest settings...But then again the 4600 might have more torque than the 5700 and might be tougher to control coming out of corners...I'm not sure to be honest...

I'm thinking about buying a few new motors. How does a 10.5-4wd and a 13.5-2wd truck for next season sound?

Donnie are you running lipo's in both your truck and 4wd? Id suggest an 8.5 for your 4wd and truck. You can always gear it down if you needed, but i dont think they will be too much power. Im going to put an 8.5 in my 4wd, and would love to have the same in my truck.

Orion/Peak do not have an 8.5

They have:

For 2wd I would recommend a 10.5 or 7.5 (or even the 13.5 if you want a real smooth power delivery..or for "stock" class). I usually run the 7.5 in my RB5, but will experiment with the 10.5 next year as well.

For 4wd I would run a 7.5 or 6.5 (5.5 if the traction is really good). I usually run the 6.5 in my Lazer

They all come stock with the sintered rotors too which have a bit different power band, stronger magnet and handle heat better than the typical bonded rotors of other motors.

There will be good support for Orion/Peak users for next season as I just became an Orion Team Driver and have some cool things in the works for next year!
