I figured I start a new thread about getting a club started in Orangeville. The addition of a LHS and along with sites like this one have started to bring out the number of R/C's in the area. I have talked to many people who have in the past run R/C and would love to pull them out of the garage and run them again if there was somewhere to do so. I have also talked to people who want to get into the hobby with their kids as a family thing to do.
With that in mind I sent off a letter to the Mayors office to see what kind of response I would get if I asked for some of the towns land (indoors and out) to set up a road track and some out of the way land for a offroad track.
I received a reply from the mayors office wanting me to do a presentation on either November 5th or 19th to the entire council.
Now the planning begins. Those of you that would be interested in helping plan for this please PM me or post here so we can set up a get together and make this happen.

I'm in. Any way shape or form. I was born into the hobby (23 years ago) and am still very active. Orangeville will be a success and i am sure the presentation will go flawlessly.
