it looks like we are thinking along the same lines on this build.
i will paint the chassis and almost everything else under there black.
i am also going to put a trac bar on the front. With the middle leaf removed the axle wrap is bad.
the rings for the beadlocks i was thinking of doing a red primer.

Cloddyman, i re sent the pm

yeah the black will make a world of difference. ill be using a flat black for mine so that it doesnt have the shine on it, so it just kinda dissapears under there.i dont know about the red primer on the rings, i would say a black or gunmetal. only cuz i havent seen a set of beadlocks in primer red in 1:1 before. or just clean the anodize off and leave em the polish aluminum. sink em in easy off oven cleaner for a couple minutes, maybe more, and it takes off the colour.

Hey, I got mine running today,You might need to move the skidplate/tranny mount forward 1 hole and make longer links.I mounted my R2 and the front and rear driveshafts are the same length.I used stampede sliders with metal u joints and didn't have to lengthen them and the pinion angles are decent.Allthough if you angled the rear pinion up you might not have a problem.Just a suggestion.Any luck on a new cab yet,I seen a complete body from a highlift hilux on e-bay for $180 "buy it now" Now I wish I waited for a body.
