That is a good How To. But, I didn't see you mention anything about this. For the people with only 2CH recievers, rather than having a seperate 3rd channel for the LEDs you can make a simple Y-harness which will plug into the Bat. input on the RX and the bat and the LED's will be able to power off only one channel. If this was already mentioned than sorry for the repeat. I did something like this up a while ago and they turned out great. I especially like the pictures. They helped explain the process making it easier to understand. AA++ for and awsome How To.

Glad y'all liked it.

All total I think the parts cost me 30 bucks or so. I'm sure you can get them MUCH cheaper if you spend some time looking around online or know of a good cheap electronics place. I was impatient and just went to The Source, picked up everything there.

Ultimately, the effect is neat and I found it's kind of fun now to just muck about out on the street after dark. You can see which end is which and where the truck is. It has had minimal if any impact on run time.

Good tip on the Y-Harness! I think when I have a chance I'm going to see if I can get the 3rd channel to actually affect voltage (brightness) when I hit the brakes.

Something to do on a rainy day I suppose!
