I think majority here are nitro runners. For the monster truck lovers, here is the latest Savage...XL.

Hmmmm, beefy .

the new tires are pretty cool would be really good for bashing. the new long axles i think would break too often or they will bend. they should have made longer arms or made different offset wheels. the longer chassis would be pretty good for racing. in the end people might get the SS version which will most like come out soon and dump the engine for something smaller and race the truck.

Ya that is really high!! That is the price for a high-end 1/8th.

An that Crap-Star motor is soo not worth the money.

Overall, I think this Savage is going to be awesome with a better engine selection and Radio.

I am just wondering if that price is MSRP?

still the same

Looks sick!! at first glance I almost jumped out of my seat!!! I did not know it was coming out. I think for a second there I was ready to run to the hobby store and order it as I am a huge savage fan and will have nothing to do with any other monster truck..

Then I put some thought into it, its still exactly the same other than a longer chassie and big engin! and I guess the wider wheel base too. I think the best thing to do would be to get my hands on the longer TVP's and drive shaft and just convert my X SS kit. as for the wider wheel base, just get the wider rim offset to maintain the drive shaft strength. This would be a good upgrade for the track as the longer wheel base will make it more stable!

As for the engine? I think i'd be having a talk with speedmetal about that because HPI's looks like a good basher motor but will probably be lacking on the track.

Agree... for an extra $100 one might as well get the HPI Baja SS.
