I got some Hyperion balancing taps from It took about 8-9 days airmail. That's fairly quick for me and free shipping is good too.

I noticed my old balancing taps (JST HX Align?) had the same metal connector bits that fit into the new Hyperion balancing taps. It took about 5-10 minutes each to remove and install into the new balancing taps using a pin. Very clean cutting needed.

I got a single cable (from ) which I butchered onto the Flightpower pack. He doesn't sell them as such, he happened to have a spare hanging round.

As a longer term measure I ordered in a bunch of cables with plugs from Maxamps.

Hey Marcus

I talked to the owner of western robotics last night, Canadian company, about this plug issue and he said he has something that will adapt all the brands etc... I am going over to his shop in the next few days and will let you know. I am doing some contract work for them (soldering stuff the oven can't do... leads and plugs... so I'll have my hands on a lot of different types )

we'll see what we can't make. Need to figure out how many of each there are, cel counts. Might be easiest to just make whatever as needed until the mfg's stop playing the game. It's like midi in music before it became the format it is.

WR makes some cool toys. I get to test and input ideas for their products. The RC stuff is just one thing they do. They make electronics and stuff for a lot of industry, including cnc stuff. I am going to solder and work off a cnc machine of my own... might as well solder while watching hockey. the cnc stuff isn't on the site yet but I saw the board and such last night. When I met this guy, he was working for someone programming cnc chips for stepper motors. Now he has his own business with auto parts pickers and soldering ovens, all automated. cnc setups for pc boards. He makes stuff for a lot of companies.

Sounds good !

When i recently replugged my Flightpower LiPo I found that they not only use their own plug/socket system but they use extra wires which are doubled up on some taps.
Very weird and clearly an attempt to rope buyers into having to repeat buy from them........
