AS POSTED BY MAC...
That's right without a race in 2008 I effectively lose my run of 8ight straight years holding a race. Forget everything you have read or heard here is the bottom line on King RC Park + the Sprucewood Invitational.
Why no race in 2008? Coles Notes version, I had an issue with insurance and by the time I got it sorted out I missed my deadline and my race was given to Great Hobbies. To handle the parking I need my neighbours field beside me and my race has coincided with the farmer taking off the second cut of hay and before he plants the winter wheat. So by holding my race the weekend after the GLORCS Great Hobbies would not be fair.
As everyone calls my track and my race "Sprucewood" so going forward this will be the new name. There will be a thread in the track section and for 2008 my track will be a practice track. I will be having open practice on Friday's starting at 3pm till dark all summer long at a cost of $10 each time or $50 bucks for the summer. (except GLORCS race weekends).
Sprucewood 2009 will see me again having a Glorcs race on the weekend of August 21,22,23 FTR have agreed to once again run the race, The Lions club have booked the weekend, the track will have a new layout, there will be more prizes, better trophies and I have been promised to have a couple of top US Racers in attendance.
I now have a year 1/2 to get ready for my race and look forward to opening my home, pool and track up to all of you again.
So this summer I will have more time to concentrate on my Team (STLR) and my own racing so I look forward to seeing all of you at the races!
GO TEAM GO
