Well said Jonnyboy. You just made me feel a little ashamed at myself for getting angry sometimes. I will try to remember what you said when the blood starts to boil. SERENITY NOW !!!!!! classic Seinfeld.

re tantrums at the track.

yes we know losing your temper and then getting yoursefl dq' d isnt the best way to handle a situation like that. but it happens sometimes.

but im sure alot of other guys can say they have lost it at times during races( remember the starter box incident at niagara abiye? lol)

in hindsight what ziggy should have done was after being hacked so much he should of just pulled his truggy off the track during the race ,shut it down and then see if anything would be resolved.

then it would have been a different scenario im sure. but whats done is done now so to me its a dead issue.

I mean I feel his pain. It sucks getting hacked, hacking or having a bad run and it happens to everyone and I may groan out loud to myself on the stand but I enjoy the hobby so much more by just letting it go and getting on with the day.

That being said.....

If you are getting hacked THAT much though, there is nothing wrong with stuffing him into the pipe and getting on with your lap

thrash metal, you were misinformed, I used that policy for the heats last year but not in the heats this year or the mains in either year. be careful repeating what you think you hear.

the rules are simple and easy to follow, still there are people that believe rules are not for them. I will give you an example. There were (I believe) 22 vehicles caught and penalized, that is almost 1 in every heat, which means one driver in every heat in some form or another tried to cheat or or risk damaging someone elses vehicle in that heat.

important to remember this race is put on for people who want to be there and enjoy the event, the racing is just a part of it.

it is looking like i was misinformed jim.

the responsibilty you had being in charge of the pits was monumental in size.
trying to keep 270 guys in line for 3 days straight is a job that i know i could not handle doing and honestly how you could do it 2 years in a row is beyond me. but overall i think most would agree you did a pretty good job considering the size of the event.

i missed part of the drivers meeting and when i asked some other people questions about the way some rules were to be enforced i didnt get the whole scoop. i know it was difficult to hear what was being said at the first drivers meeting because matt wasnt using a mic to speak.

thanks for clearing up the concern i had initiallly. and my appologies for the mixup.
