This is a report from Marzac2:
"Well, we just got back from the Proline Nitro-Max challenge today.
It was a great day for electric 1/8th.
We were invited to the Nitro Max Challenge (in Banning, Ca.) at the Proline test track for a day of demo racing. A lot of the Big Boys were there running nitro buggy/truggy. But we were a small group of 1/8th electric conversions running in our own class. Eight of us were able to race and thanks to the great people at Proline (Scott Hughes) and Joey Christianson from The Dirt Racing, we had the BEST time. We were set to run a 6 min. qualifier in the morning before the mains for the nitro guys. After the B and lower mains ran, we had our main and it was set for 20 minutes. A lot of the nitro guys were very curious and we even got Scott Hughes and Ryan Cavalari run a few extra conversions we brought (an RC8 and Mugen), along with a few other pro's.
Like I said, it was a good day and it exposed our class to many of the industy's top dogs.
Hopefully we made a good showing and you can see coverage on Neo-buggy or one of the magazines soon!
I hope we will all try to make more big events in the future and grow this exciting new class up."
