practice time concerns

Thursday Nights we come from all over, dedicated to the sport, never enough time in a day but we still make it out, we pay and can' play, is it fair, do we complain or ignore.?

The question is "should we have our time to play without interruption's of maintenance on the track? Or just like our time for play is a set time so should the maintenance of the track be a schedualed time as well???

We all know to race the track needs to be perfect and all we are asking is either a notice to be posted so we can be AWARE!!!.

re track maintenance

i agree with you darrell 100%. racers should be given prior notice as to whether the track is open for practice or closed for track maintenance.

usually sids is on the ball and they post on the sids website the status of the track.

did you check the sids website before going to practice ?

Thank you for voicing your concerns. We appreciate that you come from so far away just to use our facility.

The fact is however that the majority of the track surface was available for almost the entire evening.

As on past occasions a portion of the track was closed for maintenance. A bypass was arranged so that the balance of the track could remain in use.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by our need to test the sprinklers in the last half hour of daylight available. The system is new this season and we are working on optimizing its effectiveness.

In future we will post notice advance notice of all track closures whether full or partial.

Thank you again for supporting Sid's Raceway!!!

We see this case in Belleville in 2006 in glorcs race schedule. I make 6 hours run to set-up my car a friday before the race ( only begin satursday but can practice friday ) the guy of the track decided to repared is own track on friday. I just run 1 time the buggy 10 minutes.
He is no fool who gives up what he can not keep to gain what he can not lose.

No sponsor with no car so lot of money in my pocket.

sometimes we have to be flexible. ski resorts close runs for repair. I thought that the track was completly closed after reading your post. I can say that sid's is among the top tracks anywhere in terms if notices and I T upkeep. on practice days (mostly weekdays), it's not uncomon to have partial closures.

with all due respect, your post implies somewhat that we ruined your day! as many will testify, we do what we can; hope to say hi in person. always in good fun
