Good for them,, I know they had issues with the optical one they used.
Didn't think they wanted to spend that much, or their members for personal transponders.
I tried to bug them to allow MT's on their track, when they started up,, they said we would wreck their
Have to start bugging

Thank you for your offer to help,

Unfortunatly until we work something out with the owner of the land, we cannot continue with any work.

Please stay tuned for further updates.

Currently out of the RC "mix"

This is just my 2 cents.....

It was very sad to see the club lose the land that they had....the club was looking great...and was heading far again this year.

But when it came time to looking into new land and this new land came up, I right away told Jeff that it should not be agree'd to as the club could not afford the $400 in rent plus insurance ( I totally agree that insurance is needed)....I know from last year that the club had a hard time to pay off the transponder unit at least once.
The amount that they are asking for that bit of land is more then some people pay to rent a place to live. As for the new part of the land, I don't know why they couldn't use the track that was already on the land.

I know that Pat had taken back the President position, and I understand why he had to back off as well...but someone needs to take on the responsibility of it and to my knowledge no one has stepped up to even offer. I know Jeff (Crafty) feels like he should, but he doesn't have the time this year (lots more sound jobs with his dad this summer, as well as work has changed their shifts and there will be more weekends as well as more evenings through out the summer). Also I feel that he already did his part last year.

With out a President the club is going to fall through, if no one wants to take the leadership. This would be why it is hard to get anything organised as in meetings or even work dates....everyone is trying to help out the best that they can but not everyone is able to work at the same time.

As for $$, right now Jeff Crafts name is the only one on the account...and I don't think that is right either, so if anyone else is willing to go in on that it would be great. Please let Jeff know...
I myself would love for Jeff's name to get off of it completely. I don't know how he feels about that but that is my opinion.

As for selling the transponder unit, I know that Jeff would not want to consider that...he takes to much pride in the fact that they were able to get one last year. As for sharing with the Bowmanville Track, I am sure he would be willing to work something out...but that needs to be discussed with him...and a president.

I hate to see the club fall apart after how well it was last year...and all the friendships that were made last year. I know that I was really looking forward to watching Jeff and Travis race this year.

Hopefully something will be worked out.

P.S. Our internet has been down for the past week, and still isn't I am not sure if Jeff has taken the time to come on here or not. It isn't really allowed at work.
