Track Maintenance In Progress July 9th-12th

In preparation for the 2008 Electric Off Road Provincial Championships which will take place this Sunday July 13th, the track committee will be performing maintenance on the track from July 9th-12th (inclusive).

Although the track will remain open, it will be necessary to create detours at times to avoid the fresh areas of the track.

During this time the track surface will be watered more than it normally would. If you notice an area of the track which is moist please do not walk on that area since your footprints will damage the surface.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but, when a facility is open 7 days a week there are bound to be disruptions due to maintenance in the days leading up to a big race.

Thank you for your support and patience.

No, but there are a couple of hobby shops about 15 mins away that support Associated and Kyosho that are open on Sunday.

Best bet is to bring a good supply of spares. Sid's racers are a good crowd and I can tell you that helping each other out is, as they say at Glenwood "how we roll"!

here in canada unfortunately most hobby shops dont bother to show up at any races other than the tilsonburg race.

it would be nice to see a few there selling fuel, tires glow plugs etc...

Both fastcats and Galaxy Hobby are about 10 to 15 minutes away and stock a lot of stuff. There will be enough guys at the race with A/E cars though that you should be fine.

Not sure about fastcats but I do know that Galaxy hobby has recently decided to try and enjoy some family time on Sundays.I think Derry was putting in many hours at the store and like any smart person decided that Sunday should be for family..

Just finished confirming the following:
The closest hobby shop to Sid's Raceway that is open on Sunday is also one of the best stocked hobby shops in the GTA for off-road racing related items. Both Galaxy Hobby and Hobby Hobby are closed on Sundays.

Open Sunday 9am-4pm

212 Wyecroft Rd., Unit 26&27
Oakville, ON L6K 3T9
