Glenwood's plans for 09

Glenwood has inked a lease agreement with HOLLAND SPEEDWAY . we feel this is the step r/c racing in the area needs to go in order to gain more popularity and become closer to a mainstream hobby that more people can potentially enjoy and come in contact with. this also will allow us to provide a facilty that can only be rivaled by some of the biggest names in r/c tracks such as the farm2 and the nitro pit. at least thats our goal !
right off the bat , this frees up some of the time constraints that we have been under in our present location , as well as noise issues . we have been offered at this location a fenced in area for the track , ( which has prime dirt composition i might add ) , concrete pads for pitting which each bay has its own power and light if needed , also blacktop pit driveway , and eligibilty for all the " overnight parking " that we would ever need. in addition holland speedway will run a stocked concession stand during the racing , as well as open actual bathrooms for the racers and the like. probably one of the nicest perks is that Glenwood r/c will be in all promotions that holland speedway runs during the summer , such as radio and billboard advertisements.
with that being said , glenwood will be taking a more " proffesional " stand point as far as the way the races are ran and conducted. on your end ( the racers ) not much will change , probably only the way you register and being able to know that the races will be run on time and with as much structuring as possible . with that being said , registration and racing fees WILL NOT BE INCREASED . but also do not fear , Glenwood will still be maintaining its have fun and hang out attitude.

with all that being said , all of this would not be possible with out the continued and growing support from the r/c community and its racers. thank you . rest assured Brian and I with the help of probably many of you will try and make this new facilty the best. hands down .

re glenwoods plans for 2009

i havent had the opportunity to race at glenwood yet as part of the glorcs series but im hoping to try it this upcoming season.

ive already heard great things about the glenwood track and with all these new developments it sounds like this is going to make glenwood a track that everyone will be talking about.

hope to see some pics posted of the new pit areas and fencing once its completed.

great news glenwood crew.

That should be awesome. I don't think that many Canadians know where Holland is or what a great facility it is. That should be a great location.

thanks alot! drew and i are fully committed to make this new facility one of the best around. upon doing this , we have alot more leway in our program , and can offer alot better facilities than we could before. the best part of doing this is being able to move r/c in wny to more of a forefront and at least have acces to more potential racers and fans. we will kepp everyone posted as things progress
