Triple a-mains...

I think I understand the triple A main concept, but it's still not totally clear to me how it 'works'. Can someone please put it in layman terms for me?

Thanks in advance!

best 2 out of 3 finishes added together for final placement. if you win the first 2 you don't have to run the 3rd to win

Is is based on finishing position, or time...like in qualifying?

Also...If you in the first two rounds, and don't have to race the third, the whole 3rd race is fighting for second place right?

ya, if you get a couple 1st place finishes you have locked up the win and the final race would be fighting for the remaining positions. triple a's is a coolway to get alittle more track time

it's not like qualifying, time doesn't matter. finishing position does. makes things interesting too

For each main you get awarded points for finishing position (100 for the winner, 99 for 2nd and so on) Your 2 best finishes are added together. Tie breaks I think are usually who had the fastest run between the 2 drivers. Obviously if you win the first 2 races you've won, but the third main is still run for the rest of the drivers to try and improve their own positions.
