D.O.R.C

We are a newly formed Registered Not For Profit Offroad R\C Club, residing in Ajax.
http://dorc.ca/

The Town of Ajax has been very helpful, & we are in the final stages of approval.
Being affiliated with the Town of Ajax, has certain perks and can help our club sustain and build capacity through the allocation of municipal space, access to resources and information and more.

We are hoping to start building as early as weather allows & final selection of land & final approval.

DORC is in the process of raising funds for initial start up, through various raffles, t shirts & yes a Bowling night..

We will provide everyone with more details on the club and our progress on fulfilling our goal of building a local RC track.

We are now accepting new members for the club.

The RC park located at Bowmanville (around hwy 401 and Waverly) will have a large 1/8th scale track approximately 1100 feet in length. Also we are planning to build an additional 1/10 scale track along a dirt oval track for larger 1/5th scale RC vehicles. We are also planning to have a section for rock crawling, although it may not be ready till later this year or for next season.

The membership fee is $70.00 per person for this year and includes a free club T-shirt. Special rate of $60.00 per person will be applicable to family members (2-4 people) if registered at the same time.
Kids 8 years old or under can become members, free of charge if accompanied by a club member 16 years old and above (sorry we can not offer free Tshirts for this group). All members under 16 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult member at all times while at the track.

The track membership will entitle you to use the track every day from 10 AM till 9:00 PM, Monday through Sunday during the RC season which may run from May till November. Also a special discount will be applied for registering for the main events.

Registration can be done at Xtreme RC located at 250 Bayly Street West Unit 13b in Ajax. http://www.------------/
Map http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...,0.013819&z=16

They will be collecting the membership fee, all the contact information, and your shirt size. Membership cards will later be sent to your address or can be picked up at a later date.

If you are volunteering to assist with the track build, due to insurance requirements, you must become the club member.
Looking forward to a good RC season and meeting all of you at the track.

Thank you...

We are planning to make this a family friendly place, with intentions of bringing the non racers & bashers to grow into a Race Facility.

With support it will grow into a nice Offroad Track.

Ajax is within Durham Region, about 20 minutes East of Toronto.(DVP)
I believe you are North West of Kitchener, about 2.5 hrs away, by Google standards anyways.

Just a quick update for people, we have received a draft of the lease from our good friends @ the Town of Ajax. There are just a few changes to be made to it and then it will be presented to the Town Council - hopefully March 19th!

We are still a few steps away from officially being able to use this land but we are getting closer and closer! It looks like all the hard work that everyone has done is nearly ready to pay off!

Also thanks to everyone that has put in all the effort for our fundraising events, raffles, T-Shirts etc! We are growing ever closer to our goals!
