I f I see some liquid around the glow plug when I look in to the head of my car is that normal. I'm assuming that it comes from the fuel. Someone suggested that I may not be tightening the plug enough.

or there might be dirt around the base of the cooling head preventing you from tightening it ll the way down.
if it is a standard plug you should have a copper spacer on the plug as well.
you do not want to over tightening the plug on the head either. snug is best.

A little dirt is normal. I like to clean it out every now and then with a little break clean. Make sure that he plug is tight before spraying it with a little blast. Then blow it out and thats all it takes.

It could be from the plug loosening off or just dirt that got around there and then got a bit wet.

And yes snug is best for the plug, don't over tighten. The little copper washer helps to prevent over tightening.
