I will start by noting that I am sponsored by nobody and love my MBX5R and when it has been run into the ground (which may take a while yet) it will be replaced with another Mugen

I run the Losi 8ight 2.0. Just switched to Losi about 3/4s of the way through the season. I had been running Xray previously.

It seems that almost all of the buggies around now are pretty good as far as breakage goes. It just doesn't happen very much. The difference between a Losi and a Mugen or Xray, however, is slop. The Losi get sloppier and sloppier over time, which bothers a lot of people. Admittedly, it bothered me before making the switch. Now it's obvious to me that as the Losi gets sloppier, it gets faster and handles better.

There are some things I miss about Xray. The parts quality is ridiculous. They really are pure race cars. It just seems to me that the Losi can be faster than the Xray, it's just a bit harder to drive it as fast or faster... for me.

That's really the only two buggies I have experience with. The Mugen seems very similar to Xray as far as quality, how much care their R&D department puts into their product, etc. The Xray is a c-hub style suspension, like Losi, whereas the Mugen is a pillow ball style suspension.
