Track Prep Day Update

Everything that we set out to do yesterday was accomplished and more!

After removing the tile, timing loop, and sprinkler system components, we were able to get a head start on flattening out the old layout.

Note that this means that the track is now completely closed until the new layout is completed.

Here are a few pictures of the mayhem!!!:

The big news is that we are now waiting for conditions to dry up to the point where we can accept delivery of 100 yards of new dirt!!!!!!

We hope this will happen for next weekend (April 17th) but the following weekend (April 24th) is looking to be more likely.

So dust off your shovels, rakes and brooms!!!

The plan is to raise the running surface above the surrounding grade so that there is no place for water to stand on the track. The new soil should also absorb and drain water much better with the added benefit of being a bit easier on tires.

Sids Raceway is far from closed. We look forward to seeing you out for some 10th scale electric fun in the very near future!!

I can't wait, I'm getting tired of the TCS racing. I think it time to sell off and take some time off on road. If I'm available, I'll come out and help and get dirty.
Lets get ready to rumble, SC10 here I come.

That's the spirit Paul!!

I have a feeling that you are saying what a lot of people are thinking.

Sids will always be the place that started the rekindling of interest in offroad in the GTA.

Glad to see it's running strong. I hope to make it out a few times for sure.
