We have run plenty of races before where the weather was in question. We have the good fortune of having a well drained track and it would have to rain continuously all day for us to worry about the weather. Right now its calling for scattered showers. Its like turning on the sprinklers . Quite a few of you guys know that a little rain has never stopped us before. Remember the monsoon at the 2008 GLORCS!! And the flood during one of our club races!! Lets not worry about the rain.

If worse comes to worse we will do a rain date or refund all the race fees if we can't run the race. The only thing you might loose is some time.

I was up there with my kids that day. @ the time I had a travel trailer (30 foot fifth wheel) just up the road at a trailer park. Awning was out as well as all the stuff on my deck. As the sky opened up at the track the kids and myself headed for the van. I got in just in time. Van was a rocking and stuff was blowing over and under. I was on the north end of the lot. Someones red or orange tent flipped and hit my rearview mirror and headed to the next property...... I did not stick around after that as my fifth wheel was unattended (wife was in town-waterdown- buying a purse or something. Or maybe buying me beer)

Anyways the storm did not hit the trailer park. I was only 5 mins up the road. There were sticks and stuff all over the road (HWY 6) but just in that area.

Got back to the trailer and everything was cool...

That was a crazzzzzy day
