My friend had a slayer and this is what he did: first he tuned the motor to run perfect low end / top end and idle. Then he started adjusting the slipper or w.e. it is on the slayer some guys say tighten it all the way and work your way out and some say loosen it all the way and work your way in. I would make sure your engine is tuned good first. What temps are you getting?

tighten the slipper all the way then back off 1/4 turn.....thats standard on Traxxas vehicles.

Only 4 reasons it won't shift could be a combination of all 4 or just 1
1- slipper adjustment---too loose and it won't shift
2- engine tuning-----too rich on HSN and it won't shift
3-Shift adjustment on tranny---set from the if you messed with it that might be the culprit
4-Internal tranny problems---This is usually caused by being put back together wrong so if you've had it apart do it again and pay close attention to the parts blowup of the tranny that came with the manual.
