Sunday June 13th

The track condition in the morning was wet and muddy. The track crew put some time in to work the surface and get it into a race able condition. Heat 19/21 from round one was up first. Any of the tire choices that we figured out on Friday were out the window for today. It came down to using a small pin tire (Holeshots or Gridirons) so that they didnít load up with mud as much as a larger pin. I grabbed my Holeshots with Evo foams so there would be less side bite so that the car wouldnít traction roll on the mud. It looks like all the pros had run the small pins as well. The car worked awesome on the track with my setup. My first qual didnít go so well as I had a couple of crashes and my line wasnít as tight as the others. I got a 10/5:18.929. Billy fisher that round hit a 11/5:05.721. I was at a C-Main pace. The track got less muddy throughout the second round but we still decided to use the same tire setups.

The second round for me was my best round. I learned a lot from the first round and tightened up my lines as well as tuned my engine a little better. The car also felt way better as the track dried slightly. I ran a 11/5:27.475 putting me 12 in the A-Main. Overall we had put 6 outta 12 Canadians in the main.

Solid qualifying performances by Daniel Yachnin qualifying second and Dave Henry in the 3rd position

The Main was the most exciting for the spectators and racers alike. Billy Fisher who was the TQ broke on lap 20. It was a shock. He got his pit man to get another. Back on the track he had to work his way up from 11th place. He was able to accomplish it and take the win. Anthony Mazzara came second and Dave Henry in third.

My car in the main felt really good. I went with holeshots again but with softer foam. That was a bad choice. The harder ones felt better. On lap 30 of the main I ran out of fuel 30 seconds before my pit stop. That sucked but I was able to get restarted and continue on until my bulldog body decided to let go from the front of the car. Aligatoring on the strait away I had to come in and fix it and once more to replace the body costing me 3-4 laps total. That was balls. Oh well, I came 10 overall which was better than I qualified so I did achieve my goal.

Here is the result of the A-Main pro buggy. Full results can be found on live rc.

Also, a shout out to Mark Sousa who ran amazingly this weekend: Bumping up from the C-Main to the B-Main to the A-Main was no easy feat. Congrats buddy.

Frank and crew did an excellent job on hosting the event despite all the unfortunate weather that occurred on Saturday. This track is a must for any racer in the area that is looking for a great event and good competition. Thanks Frank and CRC we appreciate all your hard work and dedication to make this event happen!

Random Thoughts:

-I looked at my tires when I got home after I sprayed off the dirt. No tire wear.

-We had to have 5 or more people convince Mark Sousa to bump up before he would decide to do it.

- Billy Fisher is a machine, you probably already knew this.

-The Canadians kicked this weekend. Only about 10% of the racers were Canadian and we put 6/12 in the main. Yeah boys!!!

- I donít think I will be buying another bulldog body after what happened in the main. Back to the regular losi bodies.

- Losi Sweeps the podium in the main!

AWESOME JOB BOYZ!!! I'm still miffed there was a conflict for this race, but hopefully next year it gets sorted out and I can get back down to CRC.

Amazing showing by all of you down there. I hope that the fact there were 6 Canadian's in the race got recognized, and the other racers took note!

You all helped to draw even more attention to ourselves up here in the great white north, and a huge shout out to 'Super Dave' for making the podium again this year. We wouldn't expect anything less from ya' buddy! LOL...

Hi gang,

I hope all of my Canadian friends made it back safe and sound. Just a quick note to thank all of you for your support and attendance at the event. I have been warning the east-coast US drivers of the speed of the Canadian contingent, maybe they will take me serious now.

Thanks for your patience during our battle with that Bh Mother Nature, she really pissed on my parade Saturday. After a gorgeous Friday practice day with the track holding up perfect and the weather very nice, Saturday turned into a rain fest. Sunday worked out pretty well with the track holding up great and some awesome racing action.

In between my multiple attempts to push water around, I took some pictures that you can check out here;

2010 Pro Series Photos @ CRC Raceway

Look for much better photography from the camera masters at K+D Action Photo.

CRC Raceway would like to invite you all to the 2011 version of our Pro Series race. I will work with the Pro Series (and hopefully GLORCS) to avoid any scheduling conflicts so we can race with you guys and you can have a weekend free to come play in the US.

Thanks again....
