most guys that drift run electrics so not a lot of people will offer an opinion on a nitro. I drift a 4wd 1/5 gasser myself. as long as you set it up and have the power you can make it drift. the electric guys just need reverse to get out of the mistake situations :P

tire compound is also a big part. back in the day before drifting was popular we used to toss old hard tires on and have at it, or put electrical tape on. nowadays guys use pvc pipe for tires and soften the suspension a bit for the hard tire, run a thicker/tighter setting in the rear dif to help it break out when needed. I find that kind of drifting is at slower speeds. I like sideways action at high speed myself. has to be a little fear to make it feel right to me

there is a dedicated drifting forum http://one10drift.com/

I drift an E10 with brushless ESC and motor and an RS4 3 Nitro Drift. I prefer the E10 when for indoors and a quick fix! I prefer the nitro drift when I want more power, speed, and the sound!

The RS4 3 Nitro Drift is around $300 to $400.
