Trying to get the buggy out of the way first. Seems that not a lot are interested in the buggy so far.

I'm working on it.

I have cleared it with the tower.

Just need to put a couple other things into place.

By not watering the track, you just added 6 sets of tires to the enduro....that is quite steep.

What about going to the harder compounds? I think Daniel had sucess once when they swept the track only using XTR rubber

The harder compounds really helped alot with tire wear but actually even drove better.

...but personally i think that since it's near the end of summer we will not get the temperatures to make the track "groove" up nearly as much as we did earlier or have the track surface hot enough to wear the tires. At the events where that was a problem I had tempted the racing surface in a bunch of places and it was over 90 degrees which as I said earlier I don't think will be a problem.

RUI What kind of Portuguese are you. How do you water a track during an endurance race, and at which endurance race have we stopped to water the track before. LOL. That is too funny man.

Thats right,

the track will be a cooler temp so tires wont wear like they did in the summer,

for this event we would do a light watering before the event starts and it will probably stay for a couple of hours depending on the temp.

Info on traction and tire wear.

During hot days tires will heat up gradually from the friction caused by the contacting the track surface. The hotter the tire gets the softer the rubber gets. In some cases, usually when using M4 or super softs the tire will feel slippery on the track surface once it reaches equilibrium temperature on a hot day. Going up to a harder compound will bring back traction and have better wear characteristics. It may also be noted that a harder compound tire will not expand as much during acceleration.

-Usually in long mains most drivers will go up in compound or up in pin size to have less tire wear.

-M4 tires are good to use in quals on cooler days or even indoor events

When traction is at a high on a blue or black groove track tire wear increases. Traction = Load + friction so the higher grip on the track will wear the tire quicker. You can go up to a harder compound which will have less traction (but still plenty) and will be able to take more heat.

So what im saying is for all the people who would love to have high traction then prepare to wear out or have to go up in compound from your usual M3 tire.

And if you don't care for info on tires then ask whoever throws down the fastest qual to give you their hot setup.
