If they did that you'd be on here complaining that RCTV is no longer on

like johnnyboy said, WAY more factors than just the dollar being on par, including the overhead of running a sotrefront in one of the most expensive cities to live in in this country.
Bottom line is if you don't support your local LHS, they won't be there when you need them.... like on thursday evening when you need 2 glowplugs, some air filters, a left front arm and some clutch bearings before you take off friday morning for your 3 day race weekend.

Good point. I've got 2 shops within 10 minutes of my house, but I still end up taking the 25 minute drive whenever I need parts (and then fight the trafiic for 40 minutes to get back home).

Good point Dave Henry .

you summed it right sir

I know there is lots of factors but they still take advantage of us .

Love dealing with Johns , Roger knows his gear ( when he's there ) ha ha .

only if they had a bigger selection .

their price was similar to US price

So if they can do it how come Big misissa. shop was off by 140 bucks ???

well I got the point pretty fast ...

Some just dont care oh well such is life .

I totally agree with Dave, Gump and johnnyboy. LHS may not be able to 100% match our US competitors. However our services should be able to compensate the difference.

There are a few good hobby shops in Mississauga as well.

i think if you did not like the service than there is alot of other LHS that can give you good service i like going to hobbyhobby even though i can get better prices out in the USA but i love going to my LHS the guys are amazing & great service if you had a bad experence with a LHS just move on to another sometimes when you have higher prices you have to look at the service side and see if its worth it if ether is bad then you move on until you find a LHS that you feel comfortable (just my 2cents

I run a hobby shop and also an online store. I operate from a small town and the population of the area is not quite enough to keep things rolling. The online sales help and we try our best to give the best customer service to all of our customers.

Having said this, there are some people you will never please. It is obvious to some people that we can't match the prices of people on ebay who dismantle new vehicles and sell the parts. There are some people that will wait 2 weeks for a part rather than buy it locally and get their R/C going again. If you can wait 2 weeks for a part,in Canada's short R/C season, then you aren't a true R/C fanatic.

Support your local Hobby Shops first, Canadian Online R/C Retailers second, and wherever else as a last resort.
