They aren't rated for 7.4 for sure, but I know of people who have run them @ 7.4 and said that they never had a problem... but I also know of people who have run them @ 7.4 and have blown them up... personally I wouldn't run them over 6v... I like my servos to last many years **knocking on wood that I didn't just jinx myself...**

The voltage proctector is a good choice as well, if you are just running 1 servo then that should do the trick, but if you are running 2 then you might want to stick with the BEC option. I've never heard of anyone having an issue with the castle one yet personally...

either option will work fine but the cap is way cheaper, but really neither is needed since you are running 1 standard voltage servo, all I was saying is if you are worried about the PT always getting voltage the capcitor is a way better choice for that since it costs way less and doesn't require any work to put it in, but still gives that little bit more peice of mind,

perfect....thanks guys.......I think I'll just try the cap for some extra oomph for the PT. I don't intend on upgrading my servo anytime soon (I have a couple new ones sitting here already) and I don't want to run another for brakes so I'm sure I'll be good.

no need for a external bec... the built in one has something like 10a...more than enough.
