SH has released the PT2010-XB. This engine is a great buggy engine and I will be running it in my Truggy. I had an engine from SH last year to try out before it was released. The main difference between this one and the PT2009 is the increased torque and higher rpm. Both engines are said to have a max rpm of 38,000 but the PT2010 revs noticeably higher.
The PT2010 also has a new interesting feature, the temperature indicator in the cooling head. It gives you a good estimate of engine temperature, without the use of a temperature gun.
Available with 2 and 3 needle carbs.
Cubic capacity - 3.497 cc
Bore - 16.27 mm
Stroke - 16.75 mm
R.P.M - 38000 rpm
Power - 2.8 hp
Weight - 354g
Terra Nova Hobby Race team will all be running 8 of the PT2010-XB's for the 2011 race season, starting at Tillsonburg.
